The Fashion Design & Technology Lab (FT LAB) bridges the gap between science and design and research innovative transdisciplinary projects to solve health, quality of life, and social issues. The main research areas are wearable robots/ wearable technology, clothing design/ product development, sustainability, and multidisciplinary fashion design education. The FT LAB, as an incubator, brings together researchers, students, and faculty from various areas both nationally and internationally. We are looking for new ways of incorporating technologies and techniques into fashion design and through transdisciplinary mixed methods to generate new findings and to meet real-world needs.
